Becoming A “Kidminnovator”

I was privileged to be invited to speak at INCM‘s CM Leaders Conference this past September.  My topic was “Kidminnovation:  Unleashing Creativity in Kids Ministry.”  For those of you who were unable to attend or watch it on their LIVEstream, here it is:

After you watch the video, please share your thoughts in the comments section.  Thanks!

  1. Thanks for posting, Brian. I really needed to hear this. It is so easy to settle for duplication when we are capable of so much more. Great stuff that will help take kidmin leaders to the next level. Thanks for your passion and example!

  2. I love it, Brian!!!

Powerful thoughts! I have been teaching for years that to be great all you have to do is do what God has called you to do where you are.

Galatians 6:4-5 from The Message hangs on my wall to remind me regulary about my part in this process…

“Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.”

And as you so well said, the best part is, we ALL have the most creative, innovative person living right inside of us.

    Good stuff!!!

I came across this video today as I was doing some research! I watched it and wow! Did it inspire me! It’s great to catch vision for Children’s Ministry! I mean, what an incredible opportunity to be able to pour life into God’s precious little ones! And to be able to help build God’s army of little mighty warriors! I am so honored.
This video was a great reminder to not be a duplicator in ministry, but an innovator. Because God’s Kiddo’s are worth the very best!!
This is a great video for any ministry leader! Watch it! Your ministry will be better for it!

    XOXO – Tiffany
